Course Content

Managing the Test Activities

Explains how to define Test Management tasks according to the context of a project and how to adjust the test activities to the software lifecycle in use and the different test levels and test types. Risk-based testing for test prioritization and effort allocation is discussed with emphasis on product risk management. We will learn about choosing the appropriate test strategy to align with various aspects of the projects.

Participants will learn the generic steps for conducting a standard test process improvement initiative and how to create a test improvement plan, using software test process improvement models such as TMMi, TPI Next.

This chapter ends with learning how to utilize test tools to make testing more efficient, including good practices for introducing a tool, how to choose a tool and how to benefit from a tool through collecting metrics.
