Grove accredited for ISTQB CTFL Foundation v4.0

September 29, 2023|

Grove’s accreditation for the new ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) version 4.0 was approved with very positive feedback from the accreditors in August 2023.

Our new course (following the Syllabus) includes most of what was in the previous Foundation course, but also includes elements of testing in Agile development taken from the ISTQB Agile Tester 2-day course. The new course requires more teaching time (from 1005 minutes to 1155), but is still a three-day course. It is recommended to take the exam after the course to enable further revision.

Exams based on the previous version of the Syllabus, version 3.1 (2018), will be phased out by the 9 May 2024.

The course can be taken as distance learning, group virtual sessions or on-site delivery (when regulations allow).

Software Testing – Don’t be thorough, be effective!

March 1, 2018|

Software testing is an important part of the software development process, but it can be time-consuming and expensive. One way to improve the efficiency of software testing is to sample test conditions rather than trying to test everything.

  • Don’t waste time trying to test everything.
  • Instead, use a variety of testing techniques to cover a wide range of potential defects.
  • Start by testing a representative subset of test conditions.
  • Use the results of these tests to decide whether to test more conditions or move on to other techniques.
